Before I ever booked that first solo trip, I spent months researching, second-guessing, and worrying about everything from safety to loneliness. Would I get lost? Would I be bored? Was this even a good idea?

But something deep down told me to go anyway. And I’m so grateful I listened.

And with every solo flight, unfamiliar hostel check-in, and spontaneous plan, I learned I was more capable than I ever imagined.

• Find joy in my own company (dinner for one? Yes please).
