In just 12 days
I’ll embark on my very first cruise, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m feeling excitement, nerves, and a touch of apprehension, but I’m ready for this adventure. As I prepare, I’ve been thinking carefully about the outfits I’ll bring. Since this is the shortest cruise I could take, I’m aiming to pack light, using the same travel backpack I took for my two-day trip to Paris.
My First Cruise Clothing Plan
Here’s my clothing plan for the cruise.
- 1 pair of jeans or comfortable pants for the flight.
- 1 swimsuit paired with my swim pants for lounging by the pool.
- 1 sleep outfit for cozy nights on board.
- 2–3 versatile shirts that can be mixed and matched.
- 1 stylish romper for exploring the ship and enjoying dinner.
I’ve already secured my excursion for Great Stirrup Cay, and I’m currently contemplating whether to book the Everglades excursion in Miami. Honestly, I’m leaning towards booking it tomorrow because, well, why not?
Travel Essentials for My Cruise
My plane ticket is all set, and my passport is easily accessible — though I’m not entirely sure I’ll need it since I’m only visiting a private island. I’ve ordered aqua shoes that should arrive this weekend, along with a handy mesh beach bag. I’ll be wearing my sneakers for travel and bringing along my flip-flops for the beach. I also picked up some sunscreen today and have Dramamine on hand, just in case.Â
Embracing the Solo Travel Experience
I’m not entirely sure what else I might need, but I’m open to suggestions and eager for a lovely weekend in a warmer climate. The excitement is building as I prepare for my first cruise and my first true solo adventure. Traveling is all about stepping out of your comfort zone and creating lasting memories, and I’m ready to embrace every moment of this journey — especially as I embark on this solo experience.
